NDIS–Plan Post Review Appeal
Now many participants who live in the northern suburbs of Sydney have had their review done. NDIA expects a steady amount of expense claims for this immediate next period. . However recent examples show that support funding was found unnecessary or unused and therefore caused a reduction of funding in the plan for the following year. If a carer can justify reasons for the unused support or some informal support that was deleted from the previous approved plan, or some new conditions developed that would need new funding, then an appeal is necessary
In determining the support funding needs of your first NDIS plan, the approval letter clearly states that the supports specified in the plan were reasonable and necessary in accordance with section 34 of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act), so one must understand this Act before raising concerns for review. A copy of the Act can be downloaded from the government’s NDIS website.
According to the letter, if you would like to have a review of the approved plan, you need to send a letter to NDIA at GPO Box 700, Caberra, ACT 2601 or send an email to email@example.com
